Spring has sprung at Brightwater!

Spring in Big Sky and Water Street Shop

Hi All,

Good morning! I’m writing from the Wilson Hotel in Big Sky, Montana. I’ve been out here for a week to ski with my daughters. It’s been interesting in that Hannah tested positive for COVID the morning after I arrived and has been quarantining since then. She’s doing fine — felt like she had a bad cold, but is doing better now. We did spend a little time together from a safe distance outside, but not what we both had expected nor wanted! Lucia hadn’t seen Hannah for a week and a half, so we were able to hang out and ski together a number of days, as she was able to take a few long lunch breaks! I hadn’t see Lu for a year and a half due to COVID. It was good to see her and spend time together. Hannah and I are setting plans for a get away in June. Time with my girls is so precious!

The skiing has been pretty terrific. More mid-season-like, than spring skiing! Temps in the teens and twenties in the mornings kept the snow wonderful. I kinda hate to catch that flight later today!

Meanwhile, back at Brightwater, more spring merchandise continues to arrive! New deliveries are in from Faherty (for both ladies and gents!), Dovetail spring pants for women, Emily Phillips shirts and dresses, Purnell for men and women, and a cool spring collection from Relwen. I can’t wait to get back and see it all, and I can’t wait for you to come in so I can show it to you! It looks like the weekend is going to start to see some sunshine and warmer temps. Something that we all can look forward to!

It’s been a good week out here. Time with my girls is to terrific, even if it’s socially distanced! Big Sky is a ski resort that you need to put on your list if you haven’t skied it. For those of you that have, you understand.  It’s time for me to get packed up say one more goodbye to Hannah and Lu, then head down the canyon. I’ll be back in the shop tomorrow. Please swing by and say hi, and let’s swap ski stories!

Have a great weekend. Stay safe. And be kind to one another.

Lots of love,
- Bill
