Spring is Around the Corner

How are you? Have you been enjoying this unseasonably warm weather? Certainly a change from February! It was nice this past weekend as I was up at the cottage and skiing in the Ski Challenge Championships at Giant’s Ridge. It was a great day of skiing and a mediocre day of racing! But I’m ok with that. It was fun to get out and race for the final time this season. The snow was good and the sun was bright!

We’re currently scurrying about to get ready for our photo shoot for the 21/22 Brightwater Look Book. We will be shooting out at Camp Tanadoona tomorrow, and I can't wait. It’s always an amazing day. A group of characters—and friends—getting together to don samples from next winter's clothing offerings, eat amazing foods, and sip delicious libations. It’s a highlight of my year! We have threads from the likes of Parajumpers, Dale of Norway, Kari Traa, Amundsen Sports, We Norwegians, Gitman Vintage, Alps and Meters, and so many others. All brought to life by a fine group of friends, and then made magical by the photographer Eliesa Johnson. She’s fantastic!

I’d like to invite you to swing by the shop to take a look at the start of our spring offerings in Brightwater. As one customer put it, “It’s the best spring collection I’ve seen in Brightwater this early in the season!” That makes me feel good, and also means you should probably come in and take a look yourself. We have new White + Warren, Kokun, Faherty, Ecru and G1 for ladies, plus for the gents we have Barbour, Alan Paine, White Sands, Brax, and (new to Brightwater) Crossley. Crossley is an Italian collection of tees and joggers for guys. Their tees are washed for comfort and the fit is spot on. They are made from cotton and a cotton linen blend, and I’m proud to offer them. Come take look!

Let’s hope that the weather continues to stay nice and that we can all get outside and enjoy it. Remember to mask up in appropriate places and as always, please stay safe. Sending lots of love.

My best,
- Bill
