Spring has sprung at Brightwater!

Photoshoots

It’s been a minute, or so it seems, since I was writing about out upcoming Look Book photo shoot. It was a huge success, thanks to the hard work and shenanigans of all that were there — Erik, Paul, Tom, Nick, Wing, Deb, Anna, Bethany, and of course the incredible Eliesa Johnson photographing it all! We gathered at Camp Tanadoona with a collection of samples of next years clothing offerings, amazing libations, and food cooked over an open fire on this incredible Francis Mallmann-esque cooking apparatus (Thanks to Erik, Paul and Tom). It was stellar! We had fat tire bikes and a new Land Rover Defender (Thanks to Minneapolis Jaguar Land Rover), which added to the fun.

The next Tuesday, photographer Decora Topp and a smaller collection of characters headed up to Jay Cooke State Park, just outside of Carlton, MN, to get some shots in snow! If you haven’t made it to Jay Cooke, put it on the list. Minutes off of 35W, it is easy to get to and a geological delight. The St. Louis River has carved very unique rock formations and gorges. The park also has a swinging foot bridge that dates back to the 1920’s. We were able to get some wonderful shots and had a great day exploring the park.

Tuesday brought us yet one more day of shooting! This time it was photos of the new Spring '21 Collection, photographed in and around Excelsior. Once again, beautifully captured by photographer Decora Topp. We featured new Faherty for men and women, White + Warren spring offerings, Stutterheim Rainwear, Kokun, plus Blundstone boots, new Sandqvist bags, and more.

I’m delighted to say that customers continue to remark that they feel this is one of the best spring collections they've seen at Brightwater. That makes me feel so good! I’d really appreciate your thoughts too, so please swing by and peruse the new arrivals for spring, and let me know what you think.

I’m finishing the buy for Fall and Winter 21/22, which means that things will soon settle down here a bit. I’m thinking about a quick trip in April to spend a week skiing and hanging with my two daughters in Big Sky. I didn’t make it out last year, so it will be so good to spend time with them! I’m also thinking about a little get away to the desert in May. Palm Springs? Tucson? Scottsdale? Let me know if you have a favorite!

As always, I truly appreciate all of your business and all of your support. I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!

Be well, take care, and be kind.

Lots of love,
- Bill
