Hi All,
How are you? I’m happy to say that I think we’ve finally broken free of grips of Winter 2022! It’s been so nice to see the landscapes greening up and boats starting to reappear on the lakes. Sure signs that summer will once again return to MN. I’m not going to lie, this cold winter and sunless spring took it's toll. Even on a guy that loves winter!
Deb and I are going to jumpstart summer by taking off for a long week in Palm Springs, CA. This is a repeat visit, even to the same VRBO. We really found Palm Springs to our liking, and this house is perfect. It’s 10 minutes from the airport (Which is one of the coolest airports, architecturally, I’ve been through. It was designed by Minnesota-raised architect Donald Wexler.), and ten minutes from downtown Palm Springs. We can’t wait to sit by our pool, early morning walks on the golf course and cooking in the wonderful kitchen. Plus there’s Joshua Tree National Park and the San Jacinto Mountains so close there’s lots of hiking too. A favorite spot is the town of Idyllwild, CA, an incredible mountain drive to a little town that reminds us of Ely, MN. Lunch at the Idyllwild Brewpub is a must! When we get back, I’ll fill you in on our adventures and antics!
We’re headed out this Sunday, on Mother”s Day. Which brings me back to Brightwater, and our pretty darn good offerings for Mother’s Day!
